Perched high on the banks of the River Hodder, the 1300’s Inn at Whitewell was once a manor house, lived in
by the keepers of the Royal forest. This connection still remains as the Inn forms part of the Duchy of
Lancaster Estate and is a wonderful place to spend the weekend. Margaret Robinson, Surrey.
