How Not To Get Lost

Once you know where we are you won’t forget! But for those visiting for the first time, finding us can be a little tricky. Please find directions below or click the link to get directions. Our countryside location does mean mobile signal is somewhat lacking, perfect for most but problematic for others, so we thought it best to let you know.

From the North

Leave the M6 at junction 33 then follow signs for Through of Bowland and Dunsop Bridge. When you arrive in Dunsop Bridge turn right and follow the road to Whitewell.

Alternatively, you can leave the M6 at junction 36 and take the A65 to Ingleton and turn right to Bentham.

In Bentham you turn right then first left and follow the signs for Slaidburn, stay on this road over the fell and turn right in Slaidburn Village, passing Newton then Dunsop Bridge before arriving at Whitewell.

From Manchester

Leave Manchester on M61, join M6 north then follow directions above ‘from the south’.

From the South

Leave the M6 at junction 31a taking B6243 to Longridge. Off roundabout turn left into Longridge at the Old Oak Pub. Stay on this road over the next 3 roundabouts and leave Longridge with the Alston Arms on your left.

Stay on this road for approx 3 miles until you come to a sharp left hand bend with white railings where you turn right. After approx 1 mile turn left and when you come to the T-junction turn right. Take next left and stay on this road for 3 miles until you arrive at Whitewell, the Inn is obvious in so many ways.
